HELLO AND WELCOME!
You've taken your first step towards fulfilling your goals.
I launched Sweat Equity Wellness to truly make deep health (personal training and nutrition coaching) available to anyone. As a longtime martial artist and fitness enthusiast, I kept hearing that everyone was welcome, but I didn't SEE that in action. From the gendered locker rooms and attitudes in most gyms and martial arts academies, to the lack of access for disabled people, or the same youthful, visible ab-laden fitness images you see over and over on Instagram, and the premium rates that only a few people can afford, fitness feels like it's welcome in text only. But we know that health comes in different shapes and sizes and appearances. That everyone's goals for how they want to look is different. That we have a lot of work to do to ensure access to wellness is available to everyone.
My goal is to create a truly inclusive environment and serve people who may feel uncomfortable, ignored, or unseen in a traditional fitness atmosphere, feel that it's impossible or not for them, or who feel they cannot afford a personal trainer or nutrition coach. My focus is on the whole person, not providing a one-size-fits-all diet and fitness plan.
My mission is to remove the physical, emotional, or financial barriers to personal wellness - to meet you where you are, with whatever you need, and whatever goals you have for success. No judgment. I want you to be your best self, whatever YOUR definition of that is, not mine or anyone else's.
Whilst anyone is welcome to train with me, my focus is on groups who aren't traditionally seen/recognized in the fitness realm - senior, transgender, gender-expansive, and disabled populations.
Training can take place either online or in person, or a combination of both.
Please get in touch, I hope to hear from you soon.

WE SEE YOU and recognize the whole person that YOU are, not the person we think you should be.
WE HEAR YOU and know each person is unique and brings their own experiences and circumstances. We will always listen and provide a personalized approach.
WE VALUE YOU and believe everyone is a human being who deserves equitable treatment, access, and respect.
This will always be a safe, positive, judgment-free zone. We don't expect you to be perfect (there is no such thing). We want you to try, to show up, and work for your goals. We also know life happens. We are here for your success, to help navigate fitness and nutrition within YOUR OWN life. It's about what works for YOU, NOT for us.
Aging, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ (especially trans and gender-expansive) communities are typically under-served and unseen in the realm of martial arts, fitness, nutrition coaching, and personal training. We aim to serve these populations AND build awareness and support of these communities, normalizing and celebrating differences, creating a safe environment and supportive atmosphere.
